Dutch Childcare Benefit Scandal

This is something that has been highly traumatic and has dragged on for years. The assistance currently offered by government parties focuses on that, while at a deeper level, earlier (early childhood) trauma has been triggered.

At this moment, there are many parties involved with the victims who have suffered from this. For a large number of this group, nothing has been resolved at all.

Budget is being made available by the government and municipalities to guide this group, and parties including coaches are being approached for this. However, in this childcare benefit scandal, underlying issues also play a role.

Healing trauma means recovery

of heart & soul

This requires professional therapeutic expertise, which is insufficiently taken into account in the procurement of trajectories. Coaching alone is not enough to achieve the goal of:

recovery.

In trauma therapy, I look beyond the impact of the childcare benefits scandal. Together with each client, I explore all the factors that may be affecting their well-being and identify what is needed to achieve lasting recovery.

The intercultural aspect, as the majority of victims are of non-Western descent, must be specifically included in this process of restoration of trust and healing. As an internationally registered, certified ICR® intercultural coach & trauma therapist with a diverse background, I devote a great deal of attention to this during treatments.

It is crucial whether the client is open to entering the process of change and growth.

It starts immediately at the intake – the introductory meeting where I observe indicators within 10 minutes of whether someone is ready for this. If it appears that someone is not (yet) ready, I will not start a trajectory.

My approach is not a ‘quick fix,’ and we start directly at the cause.

I guarantee lasting recovery.

(Anonymized) client experiences regarding the childcare benefit scandal:

Hadassah, I want to thank you for six months of intensive trauma therapy that I followed with you as a victim of the Childcare Benefit Scandal.

This has helped me tremendously. For the first time in my life, I spoke with you about everything I have been through and how I truly feel. I was not familiar with this.

After we spoke, I felt understood and heard. Everything became clear in my head and in my heart. it made me happy because I understood more of the ‘why’ behind situations I experienced.

Now I can move forward, and it is up to me to continue building on this. Masha danki for this, Hadassah!

When I started with trauma therapist Hadassah Vorm, I was stuck. I was very overwhelmed by traumas and experiences as a child of a victim of the childcare benefit scandal. Thanks to Hadassah’s guidance, I gained space and direction again, and Hadassah is a wise, strong woman whom I look up to. She always looks beyond one side of the story and approaches things from multiple perspectives, which also helps you see the underlying causes. As a young adult woman who struggles with setting boundaries, this was exactly what I needed. Additionally, she helped me rediscover the beautiful aspects of my Surinamese culture, which I had previously struggled with. Hadassah is a committed therapist who both challenges and supports you. Thanks to her guidance, I feel stronger and closer to myself.

I am grateful for the sessions and the brasas.

‘Dear Hadassah,

I would like to share my experiences with you about how I experienced the trauma therapy. The municipality suggested, because of my traumas due to the Childcare Benefit Scandal, that I speak with a professional. At first, I was very skeptical and hesitant. Now, seven months later, I arrive with a happy feeling and go home relaxed. Finally, a therapist where I can be completely myself, without any obstacles. I am so glad I accepted the municipality’s proposal. I have hope again after everything that was done to me and everything I had to go through.

My gratitude is great; it is fantastic that you can assist women of ethnically diverse backgrounds in this way.’

‘The sessions with Hadassah have helped me to increasingly step into my power.

I began to heal from past pain and recognized my own patterns that I had already developed as a child.

There were moments of relapse, of doubt and sadness, but even in those phases, Hadassah knew how to guide me with understanding, sharpness, and trust.’

‘Thank you for the space you gave me to follow my feelings. I found our sessions very valuable.

There was always a pleasant, open atmosphere in which I felt safe to share, and you knew exactly how to ask the right questions to lead me to insights at moments when I didn’t have them clearly myself.’

‘I have been following intercultural trauma therapy with Hadassah for three months, started as a processing trajectory for the injustice suffered due to the childcare benefit scandal. Guided by Hadassah, I have broken repeating patterns. Hadassah, you are such a valuable therapist and coach to me. I have already learned so much from you.’

‘I never thought anyone would understand me with the trauma I have experienced. Then Hadassah, intercultural trauma coach, comes into my life. · When she speaks to me, the conversation stays with me long after I leave the session. Hadassah understands me; I am writing this with tears in my eyes. It comes down to this: I am truly very happy with her.’

‘I spoke with the municipality and told them about you. For the first time, I feel heard and seen. Your expertise in my situation and regarding what I have been through is a relief for me. I feel so much better and have a zest for life again.’

‘Finally, I am allowed to express what I feel. The distrust from the government and the way I was spoken to made me start doubting myself. Now I am starting to feel my strength again, and I feel understood and supported.’

‘I really enjoy our conversations Initially, I had no confidence in it until I spoke to you the first time.:] I feel we have a great connection. , and I know now that I can recover 100% from this. The result is also visible in my family, and people are noticing the changes.’

‘Dear Hadassah, I saw a quote and want to share it with you: “The final stage of healing is using what happens to you to help other people..” I think so much about what you are doing in my life. Thank you for that.’

‘I had no confidence in it at first. But because you speak my language and understand where we come from and what we still experience to this day, I immediately felt that I had come to the right place. Finally, I have seen several psychologists and sociologists, spoken to coaches, but the core of who I am, my cultural identity, that is really not understood. You saved me! Grantangi Hadassah, I am continuing my growth, but thanks to you, I feel love for myself again.’
